1. Promoter
1.1 The promoter is So Energy Trading Limited, registered at Studio 2, Power Road Studios, 114 Power Road, Chiswick, W4 5PY (“the Promoter”).
2. Eligibility
2.1 This loyalty prize draw is by email or MyAccount invitation only.
2.2 To be eligible, customers must:
2.2.1 be existing customers of So Energy Trading Limited and remain continuously on supply at the time of each quarterly draw;
2.2.2 have an active and valid Direct Debit mandate in place at the time of entry and, where applicable, throughout the duration of the credit period; and
2.2.3 not be employees of So Energy Trading Limited or members of their immediate households.
3. Prize Draw Schedule
3.1 The Promoter reserves the right to conduct prize draws at its discretion and to withdraw, amend, or cancel any draw or promotion at any time without prior notice.
3.2 Eligible customers will be invited to enter the draw. Entries are only possible via your account in our customer portal.
3.3 No entries can be added after the draw closing date of 31st January 2026. No entries are possible via telephone, email, or chat methods.
4. Prizes
4.1 Prizes may vary for future draws; however, for the draw closing on 31st January 2026, prizes will include:
4.1.1 multiple bill credit prizes of £10 or £20, credited to the winner’s energy account in a single payment; and
4.1.2 a grand prize of a year’s free energy, which is:
4.1.2.1 capped at £1,755 for dual fuel customers and £877.50 for single fuel customers (amount based on Ofgem’s energy price cap for a typical dual fuel household paying by Direct Debit from 1st October to 31st December 2025);
4.1.2.2 paid as 12 monthly credits on the 1st of each month to the winner’s energy account; and
4.1.2.3 subject to the customer remaining on supply and maintaining an active Direct Debit throughout the 12-month credit period.
5. Prize Draw Mechanics
5.1 Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries.
5.2 Only one prize may be awarded per household per draw.
5.3 Winners will be contacted via email within 14 days of each draw.
5.4 If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 14 days, the Promoter may (but is not obligated to) select an alternative winner.
6. Conditions for Year’s Free Energy Prize
6.1 The Direct Debit mandate must remain active and sufficient to cover any energy usage exceeding the Ofgem average; otherwise, monthly credits may not be applied.
6.2 A valid meter reading must be on file to activate the monthly credits. For traditional or non-communicating smart meters, customers must provide manual reads; smart meters will report usage automatically.
6.3 If the customer moves out or switches supplier before the end of the 12-month credit period, the Promoter reserves the right to pause any future credits from the date of switch notification or reverse any credits applied beyond the switch or move-out date.
7. General Conditions
7.1 No cash alternatives will be provided for any prize. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
7.2 Only one entry per household per quarter will be counted.
8. Publicity
8.1 Winners may be invited (but are not required) to participate in publicity related to the prize draw, such as marketing or promotional content.
8.2 For the year’s free energy prize, the winner’s name and county may be published or made available to comply with regulatory requirements.
8.3 If a winner objects to this, the Promoter will:
8.3.1 record the objection — customers who wish to opt out can do so via this link and must do so by 31st January 2026;
8.3.2 provide the winner’s details to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upon request, to demonstrate that a valid award took place; and
8.3.3 refrain from publicly publishing the winner’s details, but may confirm that a winner was selected.
9. Data Protection
9.1 Personal data of winners will be retained for up to 12 months for prize fulfilment and audit purposes.
9.2 Data for non-winning entrants will be retained for 3 months after each draw and then securely deleted.
9.3 All data will be handled in accordance with data protection legislation and our [Privacy Notice](insert link).
10. Amendments and Termination
10.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw this loyalty scheme, or to change these terms and conditions, at any time by publishing the updated terms on [insert website link for these terms].
11. Final Decision
11.1 The Promoter’s decisions regarding the prize draw and the awarding of prizes are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
