- Promoter
- The promoter is So Energy Trading Limited, registered at Studio 2, Power Road Studios, 114 Power Road, Chiswick, W4 5PY ("the Promoter").
- Eligibility
- This loyalty prize draw is available by email/notification in MyAccount and So Energy App only.
- To be eligible, customers must:
- be existing customers of So Energy Trading Limited and remain on supply at the time of prize draw;
- be set up to pay their tariff via Direct Debit at the time of entry and, where applicable, maintain an active and valid Direct Debit mandate throughout the duration of the credit period;
- not be employees of So Energy Trading Limited or members of their immediate households;
- have an account that is not in debt by more than £300;
- not have previously won a prize with a value of £500 or more within the past 12 months (from the closing date of the relevant prize draw);
- Qualify for entry based on the number of points accrued during the prize draw period, with one point equating to one prize draw entry. So Energy reserves the right to determine the number of points which can be obtained during the prize draw period.
- Prize Draw Schedule
- The Promoter reserves the right to conduct prize draws at its discretion and to withdraw, amend, or cancel any draw or promotion at any time without prior notice.
- Prize draw entries are only possible via your account in our customer portal/app, no entries can be added after the draw closing date of 31st July 2026. No entries are possible via telephone, email, chat or any other alternative methods.
- Prizes
- Prizes may vary for future draws, however for the draw closing on 31st July 2026, prizes will include:
- The grand prize of a year’s free energy (available to 3 winners), which is:
- Capped at £1,862 for dual fuel customers and £948 for single fuel customers (amount based on Ofgem’s energy price cap for a typical dual fuel household paying by direct debit from 1st July to 30th September 2026;
- Paid as 12 monthly credits on 1st of each month to the winner’s energy account.
- An EV charger with installation to be arranged at point of reward. Should the winner not be able to claim this prize, a credit alternative will be offered to the value of £1,000.
- An Annual Boiler Service plan (ABS) supplied by our partner Hometree Marketplace Limited, a credit alternative will be offered to the value of £70 (available for 10 winners).
- 100 prizes x £50 bill credit and 50 prizes x £25 bill credit, credited to the winning energy accounts in a single payment.

- Customers have until 28th August 2026 to request a credit alternative for prizes where applicable.
- Prizes may vary for future draws, however for the draw closing on 31st July 2026, prizes will include:
- Prize Draw Mechanics
- Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries.
- Only one prize may be awarded per household per draw.
- Winners will be contacted via email and/or telephone within 14 days of the draw.
- If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 28 days after the prize draw, the Promoter may (but is not obligated to) select an alternative winner.
- Conditions for Year’s Free Energy Prize
- The Direct Debit mandate must remain active and sufficient to cover any energy usage exceeding the Ofgem average, otherwise monthly credits may not be applied.
- A valid meter reading must be on file to activate the monthly credits. For traditional or non-communicating smart meters, customers must provide manual reads; smart meters will report usage automatically.
- If the customer moves out or switches supplier before the end of the 12-month credit period, the Promoter reserves the right to stop applying any future credit from notification of switch process or reverse any credits beyond the switch or move-out date.
- Conditions for Annual Boiler Service (ABS) Plan Prize
- Hometree Marketplace Limited (Hometree) are the chosen partner who will provide the Annual Boiler Service (ABS), Hometree will contract directly with the winner(s) and will provide their own terms and conditions.
- Hometree will schedule the ABS directly with the winner(s).
- The winner(s) agree to So Energy passing contact details to Hometree which will include the So Energy account holder’s full name, email address and contact telephone number.
- If for any reason Hometree cannot provide an ABS plan to the winning customer(s), the winning customer(s) has until 28th August 2026 to notify So Energy who will provide a credit alternative of £70 to the customer’s account.
- Customers have 14 days cooling off period from the start of the ABS contract to cancel. The credit alternative of £70, must be requested to So Energy by 28th August 2026. To request a credit alternative customers must contact us on 0330 1115050.
- General Conditions
- No cash alternatives, unless stated, will be provided for any prize. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable, unless otherwise stated.
- Publicity
- Winners may be invited (but are not required) to participate in publicity related to the prize draw, such as marketing or promotional content.
- All prize winners’ name and county may be published or made available to comply with regulatory requirements.
- If a winner objects to this, the Promoter will:
- Record the objection - winners will be contacted by email, with a link to a form where they can opt out of having their details shared publicly. Winners must complete and submit the form by 3rd September 2026. If winners want to opt out after this date, they will need to email help@so.energy to request for their details to be removed.
- Provide the winner’s details to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upon request, to demonstrate that a valid award took place; and
- Refrain from publicly publishing the winner’s details but may confirm that a winner was selected.
- If a winner objects to this, the Promoter will:
- Data Protection
- Personal data of winners will be retained for up to 12 months for prize fulfilment and audit purposes.
- Data for non-winning entrants will be retained for 3 months after each draw and then securely deleted.
- All data will be handled in accordance with data protection legislation and our Privacy Notice.
- Amendments and Termination
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend or withdraw this loyalty scheme, or to change these terms and conditions, at any time by publishing the updated terms here.
- Final Decision
- The Promoter’s decisions regarding the prize draw and the awarding of prizes are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
