So Energy, the sustainable energy provider, has been awarded a Special Commendation for Best Overall Improvement at the 2026 Uswitch Energy Awards.

So Energy, the sustainable energy provider, has been awarded a Special Commendation for Best Overall Improvement at the 2026 Uswitch Energy Awards, recognising the company’s strong progress across all ten customer satisfaction categories.

The commendation reflects a year of significant momentum for So Energy, as it strengthens its position as a modern energy supplier focused on delivering better value, smarter technology and more sustainable options for its customers.

Based on a survey of 15,000 UK consumers, the Uswitch awards highlight So Energy’s consistent improvements across key measures, with its overall score rising by 8% year-on-year. The supplier delivered notable gains in areas including value for money (+16 points), payment support (+16 points) and customer service (+7 points).

So Energy has also continued to expand its proposition beyond traditional supply, investing in low-carbon solutions such as its So EV tariff, which offers an overnight charging rate of 8.8p per kWh, alongside home EV charging installation services designed to help customers save money on electric vehicle charging. The business has also strengthened customer engagement through its wider offers and rewards proposition, which includes regular prize draws, and discounts for So Energy customers. As part of this, the company launched its So Rewarding loyalty scheme at the end of 2025 with a £10,000 giveaway, including free energy for a year and energy credit prizes for customers.
